That’s right I’m back.
So if you don’t know this, I freaking love The Foo Fighters. Grohl and Shiflett’s guitar skills and Hawkins’ banging drumming literally rock my heart and soul out, and no more than this song.
“The Feast and the Famine” is the second track off of the Foo’s newest album Sonic Highways which was released alongside a documentary miniseries of the same name directed by Dave Grohl himself. The entire album was written while the miniseries was being filmed and each song is representative of the city where the corresponding episode was filmed. A genius and creative idea.
If you haven’t watched the documentary yet, I would definitely put that at the top of your next Netflix binge watch–I’ve only watched the first episode so far, but just from that, I know the next episodes will be promising; A post on that to come.
Seriously, This song is fantastic and its meaningful and goodness gracious do I just love the Foo Fighters. If you like this song, I would give the rest of the Sonic Highways LP a listen because, of course, like all the music Foo Fighters put out into the world, it does not disappoint.
